by using all the forms of media/proomotion tools like these:
1. passing out flyers to local stores
2. printing up small posters
3. advertisting his Biz on Custom T-shirts
4. putting his logos on free pens
5. printing up Bumper stickers
6. putting his logo on Coffee mugs
7. Banners. Billboards or Signs
8. putting his logo on hats
9. Audio CDs
10. Making DVDs
11. using Youtube to promote his Biz
12. using Myspace to promote his Biz
13. Consignment deals with other local stores
14. Business Cards
15. buying air time on a Radio spot
16. buying air time on a local Cable Access TV show like doing a Informercial to sell his products

If you haven’t already, have your dad submit his store site to the top search engines: Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL Search, and Ask.com.
Also submit it to popular directories like the Open Directory Project (www.dmoz.com), the Yahoo! Directory, and the About.com and Busines.com directories.
Google “link exchanges” to locate sites where you can exchange links with other sites, and also visit other sites with businesses or interests similar to yours dad’s and ask if they would like to reciprocate links.
Finally, oconsider paid online advertising as well. My new advertising web site, http://companyads.net offers advertising opportunities to all sorts of businesses.

Google Ad Words is the most widely used.
Word of Mouth might get some local hits.
Open a peer website to promote the store, such as myspace or face book.
Sell some of the products on Auction sites, and when you send the items, leave a business card or a card with website address.
